This year’s conference has been developed under the theme of “Getting the Message Across” and aims to inspire, motivate and bring alive some of the latest developments in the Physical Activity and Health agenda in Scotland, allowing participants to:

  • Hear the final recommendations from the National Physical Activity Policy Review Group following the release of the 2008 Scottish Health Survey Results.
  • Gain a better understanding of recent UK Physical Activity Guidelines and the implications for practice when working with early years, children, adults and older adults.
  • Learn from examples of current practice and exchange information about their work.
  • Recognise promising practice.

 

Attendance at the conference is free. However, a cancellation fee of £35.00 will be applied for non-attendance & for cancellations within 48 hours of the conference

The Physical Activity & Health Alliance is delighted to  announce the launch of PAHA Awards Scheme! These awards will be celebrated for the very first time at the annual national PAHA conference on the 25th February 2010 at the Edinburgh Conference Centre and will recognise outstanding efforts that reflect the implementation of the national strategy, Let’s Make Scotland More Active.

 

You can choose to recognise a project, team, organisation or individual working for excellence in the promotion of physical activity and health. The nomination process is now open and will close on the 22nd January 2010.  For further information and guidance on how to submit a nomination please download the Active Factor Award Guidance Notes and Nomination form from
