The International Wireless Power Summit will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco. This year’s program will feature a comprehensive program divided in the following sessions:
- OEM’s perspective of this emerging technology
- International Standards for Wireless Power
- Compliance Testing and Certification
- Adaptive Solutions
- Embedded Solutions
- Alternative Technologies
The presentations will be followed by a 1 hour demonstration session, where companies that make wireless products will be able to showcase their devices.

As Senior Director of Emerging Technologies at Leggett & Platt, a company he has served 20 years, Johnson is responsible for cultivating a steady stream of new technologies and leading them to commercialization. He has won four international awards (two in ergonomic office seating and two in the truck industry) over the past three years and has been awarded more than 20 patents. One product of Johnson’s current focus is Helios, an “intelligent” wireless technology developed through eCoupled and made possible by a partnership with Fulton Innovation. Johnson, who has chaired the International Wireless Power Summit the past two years, was awarded the 2008 National Truck and Equipment Association’s New Product Innovation Award for his use of Helios in a commercial work truck.
