KENNETH L. PATRICK, is the Pulp & Paper Publications Technical Lead for TAPPI. He serves as senior editor of Paper 360o magazine, and develops, edits and manages TAPPI electronic publications including Over the Wire, Bioenergy Technologies Quarterly, E-Corr Newsletter, and the Industry News section of the TAPPI website.
Mr. Patrick has more than 35 years editorial experience in paper industry publications, the majority of which has been with Pulp & Paper magazine, where he served as southern editor, editor-in-chief, and editorial director from 1978 to 1998, managing a staff of 15 editors and conference/seminar development specialists. During this time he also compiled, edited, and authored a series of 10 books published by Miller Freeman Inc.
Following four years as managing editor of Pulp and Paper Online, one of 58 VerticalNet Internet portal communities serving the global pulp and paper industry, Mr. Patrick became editorial director of PaperAge magazine in 2002, before joining TAPPI in early 2007. He holds bachelor degrees in English, creative writing, and engineering., and did postgraduate work in English at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Ala.

FRANK PERKOWSKI is president of Business Development Advisory (BDA), an industry-focused consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. Prior to founding the company in 2002, Frank worked in senior manageent and marketing capacities at James River, Georgia-Pacific, Riverwood International, and Jacobs Engineering. Frank has done extensive work in a wide range of specialty paper and board market with specific expertise in the areas of growth strategy development, opportunity identification, market research and analysis, and feasibility studies. He has extensive project experience in all major paper and paperboard grades as well as kraft packaging and specialty paper grades. Frank holds a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Fordham University. He serves on several Advisory Boards with industry associations including the Chlorine Free Products Association and Greener Package, is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and authors numerous articles on industry – related issues and opportunities. |

THOMAS E. RODENCAL is president of Rodencal Paper Consulting Inc. and has 35 years experience working with paper machines and pulp dryers to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. He has worked in several large paper companies including Hammermill Paper, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, and Domtar Paper. Over the years, Mr. Rodencal has worked with many grades of paper including specialty, fine, bleached and unbleached board, coated groundwood and coated free sheet, as well as tissue and towel. His responsibilities have spanned mill technical and production positions and numerous corporate staff positions in technical and research locations. Mr. Rodencal holds a BS in Paper Engineering from SUNY College of Forestry and Environmental Science, Syracuse, NY and has furthered his education by completing more than 20 technical and management continuing education courses.
Mr. Rodencal serves on the TAPPI Board of Directors and has been named a TAPPI Fellow. He is a member of the TAPPI Papermakers and Water Removal Committees and a member of the PAPTAC Paper Machine Technology Committee. He is the past chairman of TAPPI Paper and Board Division and a past speaker at the TAPPI Wet End Operations Course and the TAPPI Pressing and Drying Course. Mr. Rodencal is a member of the Syracuse Pulp and Paper Foundation and IASPM (International Association of Scientific Paper Makers). He is the author of numerous TAPPI TIPs (Technical Information Papers). |

DR. FRANK ADAMSKY is the Market Development Manager for Daikin’s Unidyne™ products. He is responsible for the market development and sales of Unidyne products in the nonwoven and paper markets.
He joined Daikin in 2003 with experience in the development and application of chemicals used in the pulp and paper industry. His areas of expertise are emulsion, inverse emulsion, and dispersion polymers and their applications. Dr. Adamsky’s academic background is comprised of synthesis and application of fluorosurfactants and inverse emulsion polymerization in supercritical fluids.
During his time with Daikin, he has worked in both the technical and market development areas, with a focus on developing new products for the paper industry, expanding the Unidyne synthesis capabilities within Daikin America, Inc., getting products approved through the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, and defining & developing market opportunities for Unidyne in such areas as paper, fiberglass, filtration, and nonwovens.

DAVID B. CUTLER is an Expert Process Engineer at Domtar Inc., Espanola, Ontario, Canada. He has worked in technical and specialty papermaking mills in Espanola and St. Catharines for the past 27 years.
Mr. Cutler graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1982 with a degree in chemical engineering and has completed numerous continuing education courses. He joined E.B. Eddy Forest Products immediately after graduation, where he participated in major pulp mill and paper machine modernization projects. Mr. Cutler joined Domtar in 1989 where he has held positions in Product Development, Energy Contracting, Environmental Management, Technical Management, Production Management, and Quality Development.
Mr. Cutler is an active member of TAPPI and PAPTAC and has served on various committees for both organizations.

CHARLES P. KLASS, President, Klass Associates Inc, is recognized as an expert in development of coated and other value-added papers, processing and use of recycled fiber, and application of innovative technology to the paper industry.
His four decades of paper industry experience include technical and operating positions with Hamilton Paper, Oxford Paper, Union Camp, and Westvaco; editorial experience with Paper Trade Journal; sales/marketing management positions with Merck Chemical, Lockport Felt, Asten Group, and Inventing/BTG Coating Systems.
Mr. Klass is an Adjunct Professor of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Imaging at Western Michigan University. He is an active member of TAPPI and has been named a TAPPI Fellow, served on the association's Board of Directors, developed and taught several TAPPI courses, and has earned numerous association awards. He is also a member of Paper Industry Management Association, the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada, and the American Society for Testing and Materials.
He graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in pulp and paper technology and received a master of business administration in marketing management from Pace University.

Currently serving as Sr. Director, Business Development and Innovation for Neenah Paper’s Technical Products business, Steve Rosenberg has over 30 years of varied experience in the paper industry. After beginning his career with Appleton Papers, he has served in a variety of product development, sales, marketing and general management roles with Neenah Paper and several different business units of Kimberly-Clark and MeadWestvaco before returning to Neenah Paper in 2006 following spin-off of that business from K-C.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Products Marketing from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A from Georgia State University. He is a member of the Forest Products Society and sits on the Marketing Roundtable of Georgia State.
