This ​CPD ​series ​will ​cover ​two ​topics ​over ​one ​day: ​ ​

Morning ​Session: ​Fire ​Safety ​and ​Timber ​Frame ​Developments
Afternoon ​Session: ​ ​Effective ​design ​risk ​management: ​making ​expert ​advice ​count

Professionals ​involved ​in ​design ​and ​risk ​management ​need ​a ​blend ​of ​wide-ranging ​skills, ​knowledge ​and ​experience. ​ ​Practitioners ​need ​to ​keep ​up ​to ​date ​on ​a ​wide ​range ​of ​technical ​knowledge ​and ​this ​is ​supported ​with ​the ​‘softer’ ​personal ​skills ​associated ​with ​communication, ​organisation ​etc. ​ ​APS’ ​[CPD40] ​programme ​addresses ​both ​requirements. ​ ​ ​For ​anyone ​involved ​in ​timber ​frame ​construction, ​we ​provide ​a ​vital ​exploration ​of ​how ​risks ​are ​assessed ​and ​controlled. ​ ​Our ​session ​on ​effective ​design ​risk ​management ​takes ​a ​more ​holistic ​view, ​focusing ​on ​how ​professionals ​can ​utilise ​technical ​knowledge ​and ​experience ​for ​maximum ​impact.
