The Programme Committee invites novel and interesting proposals for sessions at the Social Media Conference 2018. We welcome all types of sessions, from case studies on the current hot topics to a Workshop, which delegates could then implement in their own organisation. Whether you have previously proposed a session, spoken before or this will be your first time, we welcome your proposal.

A topic or theme is presented to the audience focusing on a narrow format with examples of how this was delivered and learning outcomes are mainly from the Speaker from the presentation.
Workshops are more hands on education and involve a much more involved style of learning, feedback has been very high in this standard of learning at the Conference and the panel will consider these sessions in a higher number. Topics tend to focus on something delegates can learn in their sessions in that exact moment and walk away with clear outcomes.
- Panel Dicussions
These sessions are more informal and involve a moderator and audience asking questions of a panel of 2-3 members on a particular item. Sessions tend to rely heavily on audience participation and normally involve a group of experts on a topic taking feedback from audience members.
- Commercial Sessions
Commercial sessions are being provided for companies and organisations who would like to promote their service or product to the audience in an informative and creative way. The panel may choose to move a Presentation to a Commercial Session if they feel the topic is heavily focused on a product or service. Fees apply. Each proposal or idea should be submitted separately but individuals are welcome to make more than one proposal
Proposals should be submitted in English.
The proposer will be the lead speaker and will be the main point of contact for the Conference, so please ensure the right person is listed in this role.
Parallel sessions are 30 minutes long and the session may be allocated on either the 4th or 5th of December
Keynote sessions are 45 minutes long and may be allocated on either the 4th or 5th of December
All submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Committee, which consists of innov8's Conference and Event Director as well as individuals selected to chair the Conference Panel. The committee's role is to ensure the development of a balanced programme of sessions which is based on relevance, demand, professional development needs and timing. It may not be possible to include all proposals and ideas; however, we would like to thank everyone in advance for their efforts and interest in supporting the International Social Media Conference 2018.
The Conference Panel will choose whether to accept a session as a Keynote of Parallel session, however you can indicate your preference in the submission.
Notifications of acceptance will be provided in 30th April 2018 and once the programme has been finalised, proposers will be given confirmation of the date and time of their session. Confirmed speakers will be asked to submit material prior to the Conference launch on 1st June 2018
If you are accepted as a speaker you will be provided a free ticket to the day of your presentation and a 50% discount on attendance for a guest at the International Social Media Conference Conference 2018. Travel and subsistence expenses will not be provided. If you wish to attend both days of the Conference you will be provided a discount for the second day.
If selected, all speakers must register to attend the Conference by the 1st June 2018, otherwise your session maybe given to an alternative speaker and a cancellation levy will apply to your session to cover administrative costs for the Conference.
